Paul and Deb
Biographical Note

Paul & Deb have been exploring the passion of Argentine tango since 2001.

After many years of dancing Latin and Ballroom, Paul & Deb fell in love with the Argentine tango for its emphasis on partner connection and the freedom it provides to play through improvisation and musical interpretation. They have a special interest in cutting-edge tango movement and music.

Paul & Deb have been involved in the local tango community for many years, through volunteering in the local tango associations, supporting local social events, and building inclusiveness within the community.

Paul & Deb's teaching style focuses on exploring the principles and possibilities of tango rather than memorizing sequences of steps. Teaching with clarity, they explain in a logical progression the flow of tango movement and importance of communication between lead and follow.  These principles allow students to dance with spontaneity while maintaining that special connection with their partner.

They draw their inspiration for Argentine tango from a variety of teachers. They enjoy the connection and flow of Homer & Christina Ladas, the energy and flair of Eduardo Saucedo, the body mechanics and movement deconstruction of Michael Young & Beatrix Satzinger, and the passion of local teaching masters, Brent & Hedy Thompson.

Paul & Deb invite you to explore the passion and possibilities of Argentine tango.
